Petite Programs and Grand Reception

ARIANNA Celebrates! begins with a petite program in St. Elizabeth’s Church featuring the extraordinary artists, Maestro Simeone Tartaglione and, his wife, celebrated violinist, Alessandra Cuffaro. Simeone has extensive conducting experience in symphonic and operatic repertoire with orchestras from Italy, the United States, Spain, Russia, Romania, Mexico, the Ukraine and Bulgaria. He is an author, composer and recorded several CDs and DVDs as conductor and pianist in duo with Alessandra, the first Italian woman who performed all 24 Paganini’s Capricci in one concert. Complementing the program will be Vincent Marinelli, highly acclaimed clarinetist, who, along with being a member of the Delaware Symphony for 25 years, has performed frequently with orchestras and chamber music groups nationally.
Jorge Laico, Artistic Director of Wilmington Ballet Academy of the Dance, has choreographed his young dancers to perform two Paganini Capricci played by Ms. Cuffaro. Also highlighting the exceptional talent of area youth, will be solo singers from the Wilmington Children’s Chorus prepared by Artistic Director, Kim Doucette.
Intermission will be followed by a video and dramatic presentation in Grant Hall by Lou Del Bianco who tells the story of his grandfather, Luigi Del Bianco, Master Sculptor of a great American monument, Mt. Rushmore. “My grandfather carved the ‘refinements of expression’ in the faces of the four Presidents.”

A grand reception by Drexelbrook Caterers concludes the evening.
